Cut-A-Rug D.J. & Dance Enterprises Inc. teaches American Style Ballroom Dancing also known as Social Dancing. This is the type of dancing which can be done at any type of social event where there is dancing. We do not teach International Style Ballroom Dancing which is the type of dancing seen on television in the dance competitions.
Ballroom Course
The Foxtrot, Waltz, Jitterbug, and Tango are typically taught in this course with a stronger emphasis on the Foxtrot and Waltz. Depending on the course length, two to four steps in each dance will be taught and additional dances such as the Cha Cha and Contemporary Slow Dance may also be taught.

Dances For Weddings Course
Contemporary Slow Dance, Cha Cha, Jitterbug, and Polka are typically taught in this course with a stronger emphasis on the Contemporary Slow Dance. This course is designed for people who want to learn to dance with a partner to today's music. Depending on the course length, two to four steps in each dance will be taught and students may request additional dance selections.

The Contemporary Slow Dance is a variation of the Foxtrot. This dance would be done to many of today's slow songs which are too slow for a Foxtrot. |

The Cha Cha is a Latin dance which is the most versatile dance for dancing to many different types of music. |
|
The Jitterbug, also known as Swing is a fast partner dance. |

The Polka is traditional fast partner dance. |
